Malatya, known for producing 85% of the world's dried apricots, has exported over 68 thousand tons in the past 11 months, generating a revenue of $370 million. Despite the earthquake and other challenges, the city's Chamber of Commerce aims to reach an export revenue of over $400 million by the end of 2024. In November alone, 8,195 tons of dried apricots were exported, earning over $40 million.
