The Turkish dried fruit sector, a global leader in seedless raisins, dried apricots, and dried figs, achieved exports worth $1.6 billion in 2023, with a target of $1.8 billion for 2024. The Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters Association, which accounts for 32% of the world's raisin exports, aims to exceed $1 billion in exports in Q1 2024. There was a significant increase in exports to the USA, Japan, China, and Brazil in 2023, particularly to Brazil with a 69% increase.
