The average cost of preparing Easter cake in Russia has decreased by 2.2% over the year. Such calculations based on the average consumer prices from last week were carried out by "RusProdSoyuz".

To estimate the cost, a basic kulich recipe was used, including 350 g of flour, 170 ml of milk, four chicken eggs (two for the dough and two whites for the icing), 200 g of sugar (including icing), 70 g of butter, and 100 g of dried fruits. The average cost of the ingredients is: 350 g of flour - 19.7 rubles; 170 ml of milk - 16.7 rubles; four eggs - 45.5 rubles; 200 g of sugar - 14 rubles; 70 g of butter - 80.1 rubles; 100 g of dried fruits - about 54.7 rubles. Thus, preparing a paschal kulich at home now costs an average of 230.7 rubles, whereas a year ago a similar set of ingredients cost about 235.9 rubles.
