[Yeonju Lee, Agricultural and Fisheries Special Reporter for the Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] Chilgok Sheep Farm (Representative Kim So-seop) was designated as a grazing eco-farm in 2019 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Located in the deep mountains of Jicheong-myeon, Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk, the farm has garnered attention as a popular experience farm in the Gyeongbuk region where one can enjoy healing, rest, and various experiences. Established in 2015 by veterinarian Representative Kim So-seop on a 99,000㎡ (30,000 pyeong) pasture, the farm features over 400 sheep, along with goats, horses, and deer, freely grazing on its lush meadows. Initially, Chilgok Sheep Farm was developed with the aim of breeding superior Hanwoo cows, but it has now become a picturesque realization of Representative Kim's dream.
