Tuoi Tre Cooperative in Yen Chau district, Son La province, has successfully produced single-branch black garlic using Japanese technology, offering economic development opportunities for the local Thai ethnic group. Yen Chau currently produces about 400 tons of garlic per year, mainly the purple variety. The cooperative has created a black garlic fermenter using low-cost materials, allowing them to produce about 10 tons of black garlic annually and generate revenue of over 4 billion VND.
