Ecuador has emerged as a global leader in sustainable production, particularly in deforestation-free coffee and cocoa, protecting over 86,000 hectares of Amazon rainforest and accessing demanding markets like the EU. Key initiatives like PROAmazonia and Pago Por Resultados, aligned with REDD+, and partnerships with companies such as Lavazza and Silva Cacao, have been instrumental. Training programs have boosted farmers' productivity and income while reducing deforestation. Recognized for its organic production, Ecuador will host a regional workshop on sustainable practices, with the Paid for Results project aiming to expand these strategies nationally, impacting various Sustainable Development Goals.
