The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has imposed a limit on the export of buckwheat outside the Eurasian Economic Union until August 31, 2021. The export quota for Kazakhstan is set at 4.2 thousand tons, while Armenia, Belarus, and Russia have a zero quota. This decision is part of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council's instructions to unify unilateral measures to regulate the export of certain goods, with food security of the EAEU states being a priority. The EEC has also requested Belarus and Russia to cancel their national measures affecting mutual buckwheat trade.
