Chile's egg industry experienced a 4.2% growth in production in January 2024, producing a total of 339,661,111 units. This growth was due to an increase in the production of both white eggs (4.3%) and colored eggs (3.9%). The number of laying hens also saw a slight increase of 0.8%, totaling 14,302,581. The Metropolitan region led in production, accounting for 41.8% of the total, followed by Valparaíso (16.6%) and the Ñuble region (10%).
