Egypt continues to strengthen its position in the Saudi Arabian grape market

In 2023, Egypt was able to update the record for the export of table grapes to the Saudi Arabian market, because in the first 10 months alone, the volume of supplies already exceeded the figure for the entire previous calendar year, EastFruit reports. Let us recall that in 2022, Saudi Arabia has already received the status of a leading importer of grapes from Egypt, and a year later this country has only strengthened its position in the structure of Egyptian exports. During January-October 2023, Egypt supplied 33 thousand tons of table grapes to the Saudi Arabian market, increasing exports in this direction by 16% compared to supplies for the entire 2022. This volume is also almost twice the average for the previous five years, and since 2018, Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia have more than quintupled!
