Egyptian citrus exports are leading globally, with the country ranking first, having planted about 517 thousand acres of citrus, including 145 thousand acres in Nubaria. The total citrus exported amounted to 2.3 million tons. Egyptian agricultural exports, including citrus, guava, pomegranate, and mango, to Jordan are also popular. A recent inspection of a citrus export station in Nubaria, affiliated to Cairo Import and Export Company (GAMCO), revealed that it has a production capacity of 600 tons per day and storage capacity of 2,500 tons of citrus fruits and other produce. The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture praised the station and confirmed the quality and reputation of Egyptian agricultural exports.
