Corn planting in Rio Grande do Sul has reached 70% of the projected area, with most of the crops in the germination and vegetative development stage. The favorable weather conditions have allowed for rapid growth and vigorous development, and many producers have taken advantage of this to apply fertilizers and herbicides. Soybean sowing has also begun in some regions, while rice planting has been hampered by rain and flooding, causing direct and indirect losses to producers. The wheat harvest has reached 43% of the cultivated area, with a reduction in productivity and product quality as the harvest progresses.
