Embrapa opens public offering process for chickpea seed producers in Brazil

According to the rules of the public notice, producers who send the required documentation to the email sin.eca@embrapa.br with the subject “Offer Notice nº 04/2022” will be considered. Contemplation will take place according to the order in which the documents are received, until the four batches composed of 500 kg of genetic seeds of the cultivar are exhausted - each seed producer can acquire a batch and express interest in remaining batches. Qualified producers will be notified by email from 04/18/2022 and invited to sign the licensing agreement, which includes the license to use the “Tecnologia Embrapa” brand. The cultivar BRS Kalifa has high productivity - above 3,000 kg/ha in irrigated areas of the Cerrado - and greater precocity - about eight days - when compared to the cultivars BRS Aleppo and BRS Cícero.
