A recent report by Euroestacom, ICEX-Eurostat, and Estacom, as reported by Hortoinfo, reveals the dynamic of the European Union's courgette market. The report highlights Morocco's position as a minor player, accounting for 9.97% of the total sales, with 42.99 million kilos sold in 2022, a 27.08% increase from the previous year. The average price per kilo was 0.98 euros, totaling 42.3 million euros in revenue. Following Morocco, Turkey holds the third spot with 21.2 million kilos of courgettes sold, generating 18.45 million euros at an average price of 0.87 euros per kilo. However, the market is largely dominated by Spain, which controls 62.59% of the sales.
