North Africa and the Middle East continue to be the main destinations for EU wheat. The largest volumes were delivered to Morocco at 1.99 million tonnes, followed by Saudi Arabia with 824,000 tonnes and Egypt with 778,000 tonnes. At the same time, the EU has more than doubled its barley exports this season, which have reached 5.07 million tonnes compared with 2.2 million tonnes a year earlier. This growth reflects strong external demand and increased competitiveness of EU barley on the global market.
