European wheat futures have dropped to their lowest levels since April due to increased harvest supplies from the U.S. and Black Sea region, and traders adjusting positions ahead of USDA crop forecasts. Euronext September wheat fell by 1.7% to 219.50 euros per metric ton, with Chicago wheat also seeing declines. Favorable weather in the U.S. and Russia has accelerated harvesting, despite poor conditions in France. Low wheat prices in Russia and Ukraine are affecting export prospects in Sweden, where barley harvesting has started and wheat crop forecasts are around 2.9 million tons.
