The Eurasian Economic Union (UEA) has set import quotas for Brazilian beef and pork for member countries, including Russia, which has been granted a 200,000-ton beef and a 100,000-ton pork quota for 2022. Other UEA countries like Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus also have quotas for Brazilian beef and pork. This follows the re-permission of 16 Brazilian meat processing plants to export to Russia, which were previously suspended due to a banned substance in 2017.
