Vietnam has reached a record high in coffee exports from January to June 2024, with over 862,400 tons exported and earning more than 3 billion USD, despite a decrease in volume. The average export price per ton of coffee increased by 14% in May 2024 compared to April and by 66% compared to May 2023. Germany continues to be the largest consumer of Vietnamese coffee, followed by Italy, Japan, Spain, and Russia. Domestic coffee prices in Vietnam remain high, with each German consuming more coffee than beer. Vietnam ranks as the second largest coffee exporter to Germany, accounting for 19% of Germany's coffee import market share.
