Austria achieved the highest yields at 8.08 tonnes per hectare, a 11% increase from the average. However, Romania experienced lower yields due to drought, with 2.67 tonnes per hectare, significantly below the average. The European Union saw an 18% increase in sorghum acreage in 2020, totaling 584,000 hectares, with Russia and France being the leading producers.
