European wheat market: Severe cold in Ukraine raises concerns, French wheat rises significantly

As of Thursday (January 29), the delivery price for top-grade French wheat in the port of Rouen stood at $238 per ton, up $8 from a week earlier. The price for December 2025 was $228 per ton, a decrease of $20 or 8.06% year-on-year. The price range over the past 52 weeks was $224 to $252 per ton. U.S. hard red winter wheat was quoted at $260 per ton, up $10; U.S. soft red winter wheat was quoted at $236 per ton, also up $10. From the futures market trends, on Friday (January 30), the most actively traded March wheat futures on the pan-European exchange closed at 194.25 euros per ton, up 3.25 euros or 1.70% from a week earlier, reaching a two-month high.
