This variety, recognized for its ability to cope with climate changes such as insufficient sunlight, has increased its share of the domestic watermelon market during the winter season. The 'Excellence in Korean Varieties' program, organized by the National Institute of Crop Science, aims to select and reward excellent varieties cultivated in Korea, including food crops, vegetables, fruit trees, special crops, mushrooms, and flowers, to boost the breeding enthusiasm of breeders and promote the expansion of new variety exports. The award ceremony was held on November 28 at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.
