The Walloon Government of Belgium has announced exceptional aid for 2022 to farmers in the poultry, dairy goat, and pig sectors, affected by market disturbances following the Ukraine war. The aid, detailed in the official gazette, has maximum amounts set for each sector. Farmers in these sectors who were certified in organic farming or adhered to certain rules in 2021 may be eligible for this aid. Farmers are encouraged to check their eligibility and contact the Paying Agency of Wallonia by August 31, 2022, if they have not received a notification of calculation. The aid will be paid no later than September 30, 2022.
