Brazil: Expansion of corn exports from Mato Grosso, growth of 12%

In the last six months, from July to February, corn exports from Mato Grosso reached the impressive mark of 28.32 million tons of the 2022/23 harvest. This number represents a significant increase of 12.73% compared to the same period in the previous harvest. Surprisingly, this volume exported until last month has already exceeded the total exported during the entire 2021/22 harvest. The increase in corn exports from Mato Grosso can be attributed to several factors. The greater availability of the cereal on the domestic market and the growing interest in the grain on the foreign market played essential roles in this growth.
