During a webinar within the #EFKO project, Elvira Abselyamova discussed the results of the 2020 berry season. She highlighted that the use of protected plantings would reduce harvesting costs, increase berry quality, and result in higher prices. Particularly, strawberries are expected to benefit from favorable climatic conditions, leading to increased yield. However, the quality of some varieties may decline, requiring the adoption of early varieties, especially for the South. The production cost of strawberries is also expected to rise due to the necessary protection measures.
