Export of 9 tons of honey from Ordu to the UK

An export of 8 tons 827 kilograms of honey from Ordu to the United Kingdom was carried out. In Ordu, 3,500 registered beekeepers, with a presence of 650,000 hives, provide livelihoods for approximately 10,000 families in the beekeeping sector. Honey produced by Ordu's traveling beekeepers in over 50 provinces is exported to countries such as European countries, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the United States. The honey, packaged in the honey packaging facility operated by Balmer Company, which was established under the 'My Bee, My Honey, My Comb' project supported by a 10 million euro grant from the European Union and prepared by the Ordu Beekeeping Research Institute, was loaded onto trucks and set off to be exported to the United Kingdom.
