Russia's agricultural exports in 2020 have seen a significant increase of 16.4% from the previous year, reaching $25.9 billion as of November 29, surpassing the total exports from the previous year. The exports have been dominated by grain, fat and oil products, meat and dairy products, with China being the leading buyer. Despite the positive trends, industry experts believe that the growth is limited to a few categories such as meat and fat and oil products, with a stable export value of about $2.3 billion expected in December. The export value for 2021 is projected to be around $27.7-28.8 billion, with grains and meat exports expected to show positive dynamics. The Ministry of Agriculture has revised its target for agricultural exports, setting it at $34 billion for 2024, a decrease from the original target of $45 billion in 2024, but with a more optimistic outlook for reaching these scaled-down goals.
