From January to September 2022, India experienced a 42% increase in fresh potato exports for processing, reaching approximately 153,000 tons compared to the previous year. The highest export volumes were recorded in March and June. The main importers included the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Oman stood out as the largest importer, with a volume of around 35,000 tons, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
