Russia has seen a 27% increase in poultry meat exports in the first eight months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, reaching 242.246 thousand tons, as reported by the National Union of Poultry Farmers. The growth is spread across both international and Eurasian Economic Union markets, with China's share in total exports decreasing but volume increasing. There has also been a notable increase in poultry exports to the Middle East, North Africa, and African countries. The industrial poultry meat production in Russia has grown by 5% in the first nine months of 2022, reaching 4.8 million tons. Despite logistical challenges, the poultry sector is experiencing significant growth, with wholesale poultry meat prices being lower than the previous year, leading to an increase in meat consumption in Russia.
