Russia is projected to export over 5.9 million tons of vegetable oil this season, a 28.3% increase from the previous season, with the final figures dependent on global oil prices and demand from major importers. The country has already seen a 10% increase in vegetable oil exports since the start of the season, with significant shipments to China, India, and Iran. OleoScope analyst Kirill Lozovoy predicts that more than 3.5 million tons of sunflower oil will be exported this season, a 17% increase from the previous year, with a need to export 300-350 thousand tons a month by August to reach this target. There has also been an increase in soybean and rapeseed oil exports, as well as over 2.8 million tons of oilseeds being shipped abroad.
