Kazakhstan's wheat and flour exports have seen a significant increase in the first half of this season, with wheat exports up by 29% and flour exports up by 44% compared to the same period last year. The rise in exports is attributed to large purchases of wheat by Iran and China, despite Iran reducing its wheat imports by half and increasing its barley imports sevenfold, and China becoming a more active importer of Kazakhstani barley. However, the grain market's performance was negatively impacted by logistical issues such as a lack of wagons and increased logistics costs. Overall, the first half of the season was successful despite these challenges.
