Brazilian exports of beef, pork, and chicken experienced a significant increase in 2022, with the total volume surpassing 7.450 million tons, a 9% rise from the previous year. This surge in exports led to a 30% increase in foreign exchange revenue, reaching over US$23 billion. Beef was the best-performing meat, with a 28% increase in volume and a 17.52% rise in average price. Chicken also saw a notable increase, with a 4% rise in volume and a 23% increase in average price. Although pork exports did not recover fully, they maintained the same volume as the previous year. Overall, beef and chicken hits record highs in both volume shipped and revenue generated.
