The price of beef was a record for October, with structural firmness. The Average Export Income last month was US$ 5,116 per ton, and exceeded by 14% the US$ 4,492 average of October 2024. It also stood above the US$ 4,705 of October 2022. It was the second best record of 2025 after the maximum reached in August. In the last week, the export price was US$ 5,350, according to preliminary data from INAC. The data from INAC, which show the shipments actually completed - unlike the export requests that show what was shipped and what was not shipped – point to a 28% drop in the volume of beef exported in October, with 30,081 tons compared to 41,666 of October last year, possibly reflecting an effect linked to the conflict in the port of Montevideo.
