Specific data shows that in April, exports were 142,788 tons, in May 259,501 tons, in June 212,416 tons, and in July 230,671 tons, with exports covering over 30 countries worldwide.
Currently, there are 60 enterprises nationwide that mainly export through maritime channels, with China, the Philippines, Spain, Madagascar, Poland, and others being the largest purchasers. The Myanmar Rice Federation anticipates that the export volume of rice and broken rice for this fiscal year will exceed 3 million tons.
For comparison, in the 2024-2025 fiscal year, a total of 2.487 million tons of rice and broken rice were exported, generating 1.129 billion USD.
The main exported varieties are the Amata/Asong types, including Hindoka, Dietin, Yednado, Asong Yaju, Klenmra, Tonbu, GW-11, Suxiu, 747, Dib, Nangao, and other indica rice varieties. It is worth noting that the prices of these main export varieties have been consistently declining in the domestic market.
