Export: The three main destinations for Moroccan avocados remain Spain, France and the Netherlands

Morocco confirms its growing strength in the global avocado market, recording spectacular growth in its exports for the 2023/24 season. According to EastFruit, this period marks a new record, with 56.7 thousand tons of avocados exported, valued at $179 million. This represents a notable increase of 25% compared to the previous season, and forecasts predict even more promising results. During the first six months of the season, Morocco has already shipped nearly 42 thousand tons of avocados, representing 73% of last year's export volume. With a traditional peak observed in January and February, experts anticipate this record will be surpassed again.
