Twelve regions in Peru have seen a positive performance in exports from January to August 2020, with Pasco, Huancavelica, and Loreto showing the greatest variation, according to the Institute for Research and Development of Foreign Trade of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (Idexcam). The increase is due to higher shipments of copper minerals, gold, and crude petroleum in Pasco, Huancavelica, and Loreto respectively. Other regions like Ayacucho, Tacna, Puno, San Martín, Junín, Lambayeque, La Libertad, and Madre de Dios also experienced an increase in exports, with significant contributions from gold, palm oil, rice, coffee, ginger, and agricultural products such as avocados, blueberries, and mangoes.
