Peru's exports of dehydrated fruits have seen a significant increase of 23.81% in volume and 8.74% in value from January to August of this year, according to the Foreign Trade Research and Development Institute of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (Idexcam). The growth is primarily driven by the demand for healthy and nutritious foods and the versatility of these fruits in the food industry. Notable increases in export value were seen in dehydrated lemon peel, raisins, and dehydrated pineapple. However, exports of aguaymanto, banana, coconut, and dehydrated mango have declined. Despite these fluctuations, the overall outlook for these exports is positive.
