The Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association has reported a 9% increase in exports in the first seven months of the year compared to the previous year, totaling $1.2 billion from Trabzon, $122.63 million from Rize, $49.79 million from Artvin, and $39.35 million from Gümüşhane. The highest exports were hazelnuts, followed by aquaculture and livestock products, fresh fruits and vegetables, mines and metals, and chemicals. The majority of exports were made to the Russian Federation, Italy, Germany, Georgia, and the People's Republic of China, with significant increases in exports to Bulgaria, Belarus, South Korea, Japan, Iceland, and Denmark.
