The Japanese Miyazaki mango, known for its high price and exclusivity, is going to be cultivated in West Bengal, India, as part of a project initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture. The mango variety, originally from Miyazaki city in Japan, will be grown in an orchard in the English Bazar block of Bengal. The precious mango shoots are set to arrive in Malda within a week. The Miyazaki mango will join the long list of 100 mango varieties already grown in Malda, making it a significant addition to the region's mango production.
