More than 500 rural producers from northeastern Pará, mostly women, were included in the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) with support from Sebrae-PA. The initiative has already moved almost R$ 9 million in business, with direct sales to institutions that serve people in situations of social vulnerability. In total, 18 proposals were approved by the National Supply Company (Conab), ensuring that farmers can market food to social entities throughout 2025. Each producer is expected to receive an average of R$ 15,000 per delivery, in a model that combines income generation in the countryside with strengthening food security. The project covers nine municipalities in Pará: Capanema, Bragança, Viseu, Tracuateua, Cachoeira do Piriá, Santa Luzia do Pará, Primavera, Ourém, and São João de Pirabas.
