More than 500 rural producers from northeastern Pará, mostly women, were included in the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) with support from Sebrae-PA. In total, 18 proposals were approved by the National Supply Company (Conab), ensuring that farmers can market food to social entities throughout 2025. Each producer is expected to receive an average of R$ 15,000 per delivery, in a model that combines income generation in the countryside with strengthening food security. The project covers nine municipalities in Pará: Capanema, Bragança, Viseu, Tracuateua, Cachoeira do Piriá, Santa Luzia do Pará, Primavera, Ourém, and São João de Pirabas.
