The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Food Price Index reached levels of an average of 126.4 points in October 2025, which is a decrease of 2.1 points (1.6%) compared to the revised September level of 128.5 points, marking a second consecutive monthly decline. Lower price indices for cereals, dairy products, meat, and sugar outweighed the increase in the vegetable oil index. Overall, the index is slightly below the October 2024 level and remains 33.8 points (21.1%) lower than its peak in March 2022, according to the organization. Exports of agricultural food from the EU reached 20.7 billion euros. For cereals, prices reached a monthly level of an average of 103.6 points in October, which is 1.3 points (1.3%) less than in September and 10.9 points (9.5%) below the level of a year ago.
