The issue of companies purchasing carbon certificates from farmers is being highlighted by the agricultural self-government. They have addressed this matter to the Minister of Agriculture. "The lack of knowledge about carbon certificates and their market in Poland is causing farmers to have doubts about offering them to various companies for signing contracts for the sale of these carbon certificates," points out the National Council of Agricultural Chambers (KRIR). As it emphasizes, farmers are concerned that this may be dangerous because if they sell the rights to the certificates, they, as agricultural producers engaged in livestock farming, or potentially high-emission production, may face problems in selling their products in the future.
