The president of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS), Mario Urrea, along with the technical director, Carlos Marco, have held a working meeting with representatives of the Irrigation Community (CCRR) of Totana and Alhama de Murcia, led by their presidents, Felipe Andreo and Francisco Lázaro Abellán, respectively. Among the matters discussed, the irrigators from Alhama and Totana have requested separate and urgent processing of the pipeline section from the Cerro Colorado reservoir in the section between the intake 26 of the Totana Irrigation Community and the future intake of the Alhama Irrigation Community, within the interconnection project of the Águilas desalination plant. The CHS has reported that the regional environmental bodies of the Generalitat have rejected the route alternative of the initial project presented by the Water General Directorate of Miteco regarding the interconnection with the post-transfer channels.
