Farmers in the Kirovohrad Region have begun sowing spring barley, with plans to sow over 407 thousand hectares of spring crops and more than 733 thousand hectares of technical crops this year. They are reducing the cultivation of grain crops, especially wheat, and shifting to oil fields. The area sown with winter cereals has decreased by 46,100 hectares from the previous year, while the area sown with winter rapeseed has increased by 21,000 hectares.
