The article highlights that State Fund "Agriculture" (DFZ) in Bulgaria has allocated BGN 1,440,000 as de minimis aid to support local animal breeders, who faced challenges due to the ongoing geopolitical crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of BGN 614,880 has been distributed to 127 recipients, with the remaining 17 pending administrative checks. This aid, ranging up to BGN 180 per cattle, is designed to cover costs associated with slaughtering, transport, and administrative fees for cattle slaughtered between October 1, 2021, and September 30, 2022. The initiative aims to bolster local beef production and is restricted to cattle reared and sold directly to slaughterhouses.
