Fat cattle surpass inputs and improve finishing

The greater appreciation of finished cattle in relation to corn and DDG has increased the finishing margin in Mato Grosso, according to a weekly analysis released by the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural and Livestock Economics (Imea) on Monday (24). The institute stated that "the price difference between the arroba and the inputs has been favoring the result of confinement in the state." In the annual accumulation from January to October, the prices of the arroba of cattle on a deferred basis and the inputs aimed at feeding registered an increase in Mato Grosso. According to Imea, DDG, one of the most used supplements in livestock and composed of 32% crude protein, showed an increase of 19.97% compared to the same period in 2024.
