As of October 21, 2024, feed and feed raw materials prices have decreased, with broiler feed prices ranging from 20,000 to 22,000 pounds. Prices for other feeds, such as those for laying hens, cattle, and ducks, have also been reported. Despite the decrease, the cost of raw materials like corn and soybean meal has risen globally due to the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war and increased fuel prices, causing fluctuations in feed prices. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed from the Cairo Chamber of Commerce highlighted that poultry feed prices vary between 19,500 and 22,000 pounds, influenced by quality and other factors, with global events impacting feed prices for various livestock.
