Austria has reported the first detection of tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) in a tomato greenhouse in Münchendorf, leading to the destruction of the entire crop, growing medium, and thorough disinfection of containers and facilities. A confirmed case of ToBRFV has also been found in a Thurgau farm in Switzerland, prompting immediate measures to control and monitor the outbreak. Both countries are taking necessary steps to prevent the virus's spread, with Switzerland mandating reports of suspected cases from farms producing tomatoes and hot peppers.
