The Rural Development Administration in South Korea has exported 476 kg of a new peach variety called 'Red and White' () to Hong Kong and Singapore for trial. The variety, which was developed by the Qingdao Peach Research Institute in 2018, is known for its high sugar content (12.7 Brix) and juiciness. It is currently cultivated over 27 hectares in South Korea. This export is part of the administration's plan to evaluate the potential for expanding 'Red and White' peach exports.
