Brazilian fish farming exports saw a 100% increase in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, reaching US$ 14.3 million and 4,931 tons. This growth is attributed to the sale of fish products with higher added value, such as frozen fillets, and factors like reduced bureaucracy, management evolution, genetic improvement, and credit growth for the industry. The United States, Canada, and Libya were the main importers of Brazilian tilapia, with Paraná state being the largest exporter.
