There has been a 14% increase in the discharged quantities of marketed products from coastal and traditional fishing in Morocco in the first five months of this year, reaching 472,808 tons and exceeding 4.16 billion dirhams in value. This increase is across crustaceans, pelagic fish, molluscs, and white fish. However, there has been a decrease in the discharged quantities of algae and oysters. The unloading of these products at Mediterranean ports has decreased by 9% in weight and value, while Atlantic ports have seen a 15% increase in weight and a 16% increase in value.
