The country's cherry area in 2020 covered 10,000 hectares, with a total plantation area of 11.6 thousand hectares, leading to a production of 63.5 thousand tons. Olena Kaizhen, the executive director of the 'Association of Berries of Ukraine,' pointed out the challenges of reverse spring frosts and the need for cold logistics to maintain cherry quality for export.
